The Fusion Climb FP-8122-ST Vapor III Carabiner is popular among climbers, caver and mountain rescuers for providing most of the benefits without the weight and bulkiness. This straight gate design is most commonly used, this straight gate tends to be stronger in nature then a bent gate design. This carabiner had a key nose, which does not have a notch like traditional pin nose designs. The advantage of having a key nose carabiner is that there is no notch to snag onto anything while clipping or unclipping. This carabiner displays a modified “D” shape which helps to push the load to the back of the spine.
